Dear Bioinformatics 2019!
We all fly to Atlanta and will meet there at the gate for the final leg of our trip to Liberia, Costa Rica! Our Atlanta to Liberia flight is Delta Flight #353 to Liberia, Costa Rica and Departs: 10:28am. Remember to text John Doleman at the number provided at each leg of your journey.
When we arrive, we will meet our driver and then go eat lunch before our journey to Monteverde. We plan to arrive just before dinner - in time to drop our bags in your rooms and get our bearings at the CIEE (UGA-Costa Rica) campus. After dinner, we will meet at 7pm to listen to our host introduce campus rules and procedures... everything from meal times to laundry how tos.
The next morning we will have breakfast and meet at 8:30 am for our first class with Gabriel Vargas and Ibrahim Zuñiga. We will review the 5 pre-trip modules and Gabriel and Ibrahim will start you on your path toward choosing your project focus. We highly encourage teams of 2 students for projects, which is best done by topic interest!
